These lovely mugs are made by local artist Cecile Miller. Her work is decorated in high contrast black and white motifs. Currently, she uses a low fire white clay body with hand brushed underglazes, clear glaze, accented with scraffito/carving techniques. Cecile’s work is influenced by her South Saskatchewan rural roots, 30 years in northern Saskatchewan, meditations, and travels to Asia. Her vessels are thin-walled, slab, or hand-built, with a contemporary cylindrical form.
