Join us to celebrate the publication of Canoe: A Collection of Canadian Art by Anne Ewen and Rod Green, with a foreword by Grit and Scott McCreath. The evening features a panel discussion with the authors and the McCreaths, moderated by Patti McDougall, followed by light refreshments and a book signing.

Catalogued from the McCreath Canoe Collection, the book spans 200 years and 90 works — paintings, sculpture, prints, carvings, glass, ceramics, and birchbark canoes by 50 historical and contemporary artists, including Alex Colville, David Milne, Cornelius Krieghoff, Frances Anne Hopkins, Ernest Lindner, Illingworth Kerr, and Walter J. Phillips.

Panelists

• Anne Ewen — curator, consultant, and author; has curated exhibitions for the Glenbow Museum, the Art Gallery of Calgary, and the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies. Lives in Banff.
• Rod Green — art dealer and collector; former president of Masters Gallery and Vice Chair of the Board of the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies. Lives in Calgary.
• Grit McCreath — educator and administrator; former Chancellor of the University of Saskatchewan.
• Scott McCreath — retired from a 55-year career in financial services; executive in residence at the USask Edwards School of Business. Raised and educated in Saskatoon.
