Saskatoon Artist Daryl Richardson designed and handcrafted this delightful set of 5 modern wood birds. Constructed of wenge wood and metal this set can be displayed in an endless variety of ways.  Each bird measures approximately: Flatback 13x9x3,  Small round 11x8x3cm, round curve back 12x9x3, and round large 14x10x4cm. 

Daryl has worked in many areas of craft throughout his career. His primary medium is forged metal, but he is comfortable working with any material that allows his ideas to come to fruition. He has always been interested in form and how it relates to its surroundings, inspired by nature and its inhabitants. Daryl’s work borrows from the past, but with a modern flair breaking down the lines to a suggestion of the idea.
