River walk followed by artmaking in the Cameco Learning Studio

Remai Modern and Meewasin join forces once again for the latest Field / Studio workshop. This members-only evening kicks off spooky season with a guided bat walk and an art workshop that lets you explore your dark side.

In the field
Eric Gignac, a dedicated member of Meewasin's Resource Management team with plenty of bat expertise, leads a short river walk. He'll share his work as a researcher uncovering the mysteries of these nocturnal creatures.

In the studio
Back in the Cameco Learning Studio, the bat inspiration continues with drawing exercises that rely on sound rather than sight. Close your eyes and practise mark making with coloured pencils and other materials, guided by a spooky soundtrack. Then bring your new skills, and all your senses, together in an abstract work you can take home.

Your ticket also includes light refreshments featuring seasonal ingredients and a themed cocktail or mocktail.
