Remai Modern's Riverview Room
Show at 7 PM; VIP meet & greet follows

Saskatoon Pride and Remai Modern are delighted to present Montreal drag artist Rita Baga at the museum for a special performance in celebration of Pride 2024 on Friday, June 21.

Rita Baga will bring her soaring live vocals to the stage with a band as she performs beloved anthems from the 1980s. The lineup also includes Edmonton-based drag artist and two-spirit performer Cedar T.

The Summer Solstice Spectacular performance begins at 7 PM, with a VIP meet and greet to follow. Tickets are $60 for early bird general admission ($70 after May 6) or $135 for the VIP Experience, which includes the meet and greet.

This event has rush seating. Ushers will be available to assist guests in finding the best available seats but we recommend guests arrive early.

About Rita Baga

Rita Baga, personified by Jean-François Guevremont, is a drag artist repeatedly proclaimed queen of Montreal! Star of the stage and a character now prominent on our television screens, Rita Baga shakes up conventions and makes people identifying with 2SLGBTQ+ communities shine.

In 2019, Rita Baga was selected from over 1,000 applicants to compete on Canada’s Drag Race, the highly anticipated first Canadian edition of the RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise. Thanks to her dazzling performances, breathtaking outfits, and endearing and accessible personality, she earned a place in the series finale, watched in more than 162 countries around the world.

She continues to be part of the Drag Race franchise as host and main judge of Drag Race Belgium, the second season of which aired in early 2024.

Rita was the first drag in the world to appear on the cover of Elle magazine and to partner with the L’Oréal makeup brand. She has also been named the best drag queen and favourite television personality of Quebecers by Cult magazine twice.

In the fall of 2023, Rita published the book One Sequin at a Time (Diary of a Queen), in which she recounted her atypical life, the rise of his notoriety, and the surprising underside of the drag profession. She also appeared on the Canadian edition of The Masked Singer, making it to the finale. Rita is currently working on her first album.
