Description
Handles hand carved from wild verdant white cedars, bristles with a choice of traditionally harvested deer bristle and deer hide in two colors (white and tan) or vegan nylon bristle. These brushes have been made with care here in M'chigeeng First Nation, also they are unique in the marks they make. Listed as single brushes only, images show multiple to give you an idea of the variance that occurs from brush to brush due to the use of natural materials no two are exactly the same.
Beam Paints results from a multi-generational love of pigment, paint, colour, and innovation. Anong Beam was raised by artist parents, Carl Beam and Ann Beam, and was taught from a young age how to harvest hematite pigment in the LaCloche mountain range near their home in M'Chigeeng First Nation on Manitoulin Island. Beam Paints draws on her early education in Indigenous pigment and expands it to encompass all paint traditions. A focus on high-quality pigment content creates sublime artist materials, with plastic-free packaging.
