Official Rules and Regulations

1. Contest period
The Remai Modern Membership Contest begins October 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM CST and closes December 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM CST.

2. Eligibility
Open to legal residents of Canada who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, board members, and Remai Modern Foundation members, along with members of their immediate households, are not eligible. Participation is voluntary.

3. How to enter
Entry is automatic. Each membership transaction completed during the contest period — a new membership, a renewal, or a gift membership — earns one (1) entry. For gift memberships, the purchaser is entered. Memberships purchased in person at the museum, over the phone, or online are all entered on the same terms.

4. Bonus entries
Upgrade your membership level to Enthusiast or higher at the time of renewal and receive one (1) additional entry.

5. Entry limit
A maximum of five (5) entries per person, across all entry methods combined.

6. Prize
One (1) prize awarded, consisting of two (2) round-trip WestJet flight vouchers to Ottawa, a two-night stay at the Alt Hotel Ottawa, and a 3-day Ottawa Museums Pass for two. Approximate retail value $1,500.

The prize must be redeemed by December 31, 2027. Travel is subject to availability, blackout dates, and the terms and conditions of the issuing providers. The prize does not include ground transportation, meals, travel insurance, baggage fees, or incidental expenses. The winner is responsible for all costs not expressly listed above, and for any applicable taxes. The prize is non-transferable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash.

7. Draw and notification
The draw will take place on Tuesday, January 5, 2027 at Remai Modern. The winner will be contacted by email and telephone using the contact information on their membership record within five (5) business days of the draw. If the winner cannot be reached or does not respond within fourteen (14) days of first contact, the prize is forfeited and a new winner will be drawn.

8. Publicity
By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of their name and city of residence in Remai Modern communications. Photography of the winner may be requested; consent to photography is optional and is not a condition of receiving the prize.

9. Privacy
Entrant information is collected and used solely for the administration of this contest and is handled in accordance with Remai Modern's privacy policy. Entering does not subscribe you to any additional mailing list.

10. Liability
By entering, entrants release Remai Modern, the Remai Modern Foundation, and their employees, directors, and agents from any liability arising from participation in the contest or use of the prize.

11. General
All decisions of Remai Modern regarding the contest are final. Remai Modern reserves the right to amend these rules or cancel the contest where required by circumstance or law. Void where prohibited.
