Description
The sweetest travel palette of colours set in a reclaimed white birch block from Manitoulin Island and finished with warm beeswax. All paints are handmade in small batches with local Manitoulin honey, wildcrafted tree sap, hand gathered, washed and sifted Manitoulin stone and the finest lightfast pigments. This set features gouache colours, which work well for layering or painting on darker paper as they are more opaque than transparent. 11 colours including Wild Rose, Morning Peach, Cream, Butter, Spring Green, Robin's Egg Blue, Ice Blue, Lavender, Grey Ultra, Limestone White and Gold.
Beam Paints results from a multi-generational love of pigment, paint, colour, and innovation. I was raised by my artist parents, Carl Beam and Ann Beam, and was taught from a young age how to harvest hematite pigment in the LaCloche mountain range near our home in M'Chigeeng First Nation on Manitoulin Island. Beam Paints draws on her early education in Indigenous pigment and expands it to encompass all paint traditions. A focus on high-quality pigment content creates sublime artist materials, with plastic-free packaging.
